Hello and welcome to my website.

My name is Martin Hellmann and I have been a student and collector of Japanese swords and fittings since about 2002.
My interest began with blades, but I recently discovered that fittings and especially Tsuba are developing into my primary interests. I have collected pieces I like from all schools and periods so far, but I think I will focus on early- and pre-Edo Tsuba as I continue my studies.

This site has a Gallery section that shows some pieces from different periods and schools.
